Lost Christmas was a live improvisation created on iPhone and effects pedals. The title is an obvious pun on the George Michael song and is a comment on the gross commercialisation of the season - it's the numbness I feel walking round supermarkets blocking out the cheery playlists and the hard sell.
My work is influenced by environment, community and a sense of place. I work in the fields of live improvised electronics, sound art, experimental film and photography.
I have played music for over 25 years and am currently playing solo as Clutter (improvised ambient electronics) and a number of projects across the North of the UK.
I have had my work featured in Störung Festival, artgene, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Lanternhouse International, LitFest and resonance fm.
‘Field recordings, strings and dubbed out noises all crop up filling this 3” CD with more ideas than some full length albums. A bold, innovative release that leaves me hungry for more.’ Was Ist Das?
‘Clutter is at once a jumble of noise and an entirely thought out soundscape. Like a Rubix cube it slowly comes together for the more patient among us. Engage from the start to solve it and stick with it through thick and thin’ - Liverpool Daily Post
